The historians have recorded events of the past, either in writing or by passing an oral tradition and have attempted to answer historical questions through the study of written documents and oral accounts. The historians have also used such sources as monuments, inscriptions and pictures. The demand for graduates in history is growing day by day. However those interested in undergoing a Master's Degree in History may do so if they contemplate to join teaching field as a profession in schools, colleges, universities and institutions of national importance.

Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 150 per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations to be held at different Examination Centers within the State of Nagaland (Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha).
